Senior Official of the Italian State Police, Dr. Barbara Strappato, currently serves as the Police Commissioner of Macerata.Between 2004 and 2014, she served the Mobile Squads of the Bari and Naples Police Headquarters and subsequently headed the Mobile Squad in Potenza, gaining significant professional experience. In 2014, she joined the Postal Police, where she held senior positions within the Cyber Investigations Sections, the Social Networks Section, and the National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography (C.N.C.P.O.) From 2020 to September 2026, she served as Director of the First Division of the Postal and Cybersecurity Police Service.
Her academic and professional background includes, among other qualifications, the 33rd Advanced Training Course where she earned a First-Level Master’s Degree in “Security, Interagency Coordination and International Cooperation”, as well as an Advanced Training Course in Cybersecurity and the Protection of Rights in Cyberspace.
