Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato

Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (IPZS) is a company wholly owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and a strategic national institution dedicated to security, authenticity, and public trust. Since 1928, IPZS has played a key role in protecting physical and digital identities through the production of secure documents, security printing solutions, and coin minting services.

Combining nearly a century of expertise with a strong culture of innovation, IPZS develops solutions that support public administrations, businesses, and citizens in an increasingly interconnected world. From secure identity and travel documents to anti-counterfeiting technologies and traceability systems, its mission is to ensure authenticity, security, and trust across both physical and digital environments.

Today, this mission increasingly extends into the digital sphere. From the Electronic Identity Card (Carta d’Identità Elettronica) to the IT-Wallet, Italy’s national digital wallet, IPZS supports the country’s digital transformation by developing secure and reliable infrastructures and services designed to make interactions between citizens and public services simpler, more efficient, and more accessible.

At the Digital Innovation Forum 2026, IPZS will contribute its expertise to the dialogue on the technologies, infrastructures, and innovations that are defining the future of security, trust, and digital identity.
